Saturday Jan. 19th we returned rental car #1, caught the first InterIsland Ferry to South Island. The ride was smooth and we reached Picton South Island in approximately three and a half hours. We picked up our second rental - a brand new Aurion! We are now settled in Nikau Apartments in Nelson...apartment=college dorm....it brings back memories of our youth! Hope all are well back at home. Tomorrow some new areas to explore!

Hey so glad that you had a smooth crossing. I've heard it can be very rough. Keep posting. I check every morning over coffee. Mom just wanted to wish you a Happy Birthday! I know I'm a day early our time but I think it will just right your time. Make sure that you celebrate in style!
