We have arrived safely at our overnight stop in Christchurch. On the way we stopped outside of Omauru to walk on the beach and take photos of spherical rocks - 'concretions'. They are one of those oddities of nature and some ancient history in our present world.
Then we went for a nice city walk to the Christchurch Botanical Gardens. We were pleasantly surprised by a free concert in the park by recording artist Mandy Pickering...delightful sunny afternoon with great music. Tomorrow we head to Blenheim.
